Fluffy, buttery white cake loaf topped with layers of brown sugar and cinnamon swirling inside and out. Simply unbeatable! One of the most popular recipes on the blog is this Awesome Country Apple Fritter Bread! It’s flexible, delicious, and doesn’t last long! The verdict appears to be in your favor.

Ingredients:
Mixture of brown sugar and cinnamon:
a third of a cup light brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon ground Bread Loaf
1/3 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup softened butter
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups regular flour
1 & 3/4 tsp baking powder
1 cup of milk or almond milk
2 peeled and sliced apples of any variety, combined with 2 tablespoons granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Traditional Creme Glaze
half a cup powdered sugar
1-3 tablespoons milk or cream, depending on desired glaze thickness

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 350°F. To make it easier to slice, use a 9-inch loaf pan sprayed with nonstick spray or line with foil sprayed with nonstick spray.
In a mixing dish, combine brown sugar and cinnamon. Place aside.

In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, cream together white sugar and butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
1 egg at a time, till mixed in; add vanilla essence.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder, then add to the creamed butter mixture and stir until combined.
Blend in the milk until the batter is smooth.
Half of the batter should be poured into the prepared loaf pan, followed by half of the chopped apple mixture.

On top of the apple layer, sprinkle 1/2 of the brown sugar/cinnamon mixture you set out previously.

Pour the remaining batter over the apple layer, then top with the remaining chopped apples and brown sugar/cinnamon combination.

Lightly pat apples into batter; using a knife or spoon, swirl brown sugar mixture through apples.
Bake in a preheated oven for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the loaf comes out clean.
To prepare the glaze, combine powdered sugar and milk or cream until well combined.
Allow to cool for 15 minutes before drizzling with glaze.
Optional Recipe Notes:
I suppose I’d add walnuts next time. You can always substitute other fruits or add chocolate chips! Yes, of course!
Substitutions: I’ve also used 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, 1/3 cup milk, and 1/4 teaspoon baking soda instead of the 1/2 cup milk specified in the bread loaf recipe.
Bake 30-40 minutes for two loaf recipes, 15-20 minutes for muffins, or 50-60 minutes for one full loaf recipe, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
