Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 pound ground beef, lean
  • ½ yellow onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Italian Seasoning
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 1 tbsp garlic, freshly minced
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 jar Spaghetti Sauce
  • 1 can tomatoes, diced (optional)
  • 16 ounces spaghetti noodles

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a spatula.
  2. Add the chopped onion, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2 minutes, or until the onion is softened.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 1 minute, until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the water, spaghetti sauce, and diced tomatoes (if using). Stir everything together and bring to a simmer.
  5. Break the spaghetti noodles in half and add them to the skillet. Make sure they are submerged in the sauce. Cover the skillet and cook for 10-12 minutes, or until the noodles are tender, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  6. Remove the skillet from the heat and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. Serve hot and enjoy!
