Shrimp and salmon Alfredo is a delectable pasta dish that mixes salmon and shrimp ingredients with a creamy Alfredo sauce. Here’s a recipe to help you make this delicious meal:
- 8 oz. fettuccine pasta – 1/2 pound salmon fillets, chopped into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 pound peeled and deveined shrimp – 2 tablespoons butter – 3 chopped garlic cloves
1 quart thick cream - 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese – 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley – to taste salt and pepper
- Cook the fettuccine pasta according to package directions until it is al dente. Set aside after draining.
- Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 1 minute, or until the garlic is aromatic.
- Cook the salmon and shrimp in the skillet for 3-4 minutes, or until cooked through and opaque. Set the seafood aside after removing it from the skillet.
- Pour the heavy cream into the same skillet and bring to a simmer over medium heat. Cook, stirring periodically, for about 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and simmer until the sauce thickens and the cheese melts.
- Return the cooked salmon and shrimp to the skillet and stir with the Alfredo sauce to coat. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes to thoroughly cook the seafood.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper. If the sauce is overly thick, thin it out with a splash of pasta boiling water.
- Toss in the cooked fettuccine spaghetti and toss everything together until the pasta is well coated with the sauce.
- Garnish the Salmon and Shrimp Alfredo with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately.
