Juicy grilled pineapple wrapped in a delicious cinnamon and sugar mixture makes for the perfect side dish that everyone will love!

If you’ve never tasted grilled pineapple before, let me introduce you to something extremely fantastic and insanely tasty!

It’s quite easy to create and only requires three ingredients (apart from the pineapple itself)!

The flavor is fantastic, not to mention extremely addictive!

I used fresh pineapple, but I believe (but don’t quote me on this) that canned pineapple MIGHT work; I haven’t tried it! If it does, please let me know; otherwise, use fresh to be on the safe side.
If you try it, make careful to pat the pineapple as dry as possible before coating it with the mixture.

I sliced them into spears, but you could make rings or even 2 inch pieces and thread them onto a skewer to grill!

Basting them while they cook is critical if you want them to be as flavorful as possible- trust me, it’s worth the 4 minutes.

It is indeed a simple and delicious recipe! The flavor was praised by everyone at my Memorial Day cookout! I’ll have to treble the recipe next time because the platter was gone in less than two minutes!

Ingredients:
1 fresh pineapple, peeled and cored, cut into 1 inch rings or spears
1 pound brown sugar
a third of a cup of honey
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • Follow these instructions: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and spray the grate liberally with oil.
  • Whisk together the brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl.
  • Place the pineapple slices (or rings) in a large resealable plastic bag with the cinnamon/sugar mixture and shake until evenly coated.
  • Remove the covered pineapples and return the remaining cinnamon sugar mixture to the bowl, followed by the honey.
  • Grill the pineapple wedges for about 4 minutes each side on a hot grill, coating each side with more of the mixture as they cook with a basting grill brush.
