I always think of the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding when I prepare any form of bundt cake. That movie is fantastic. “What do you mean he don’t eat meat?” “Oh, that’s okay, I make lamb.” In one scenario, Ian’s mother presents a bundt cake to Toula’s family.

A bundt cake is something Toula’s family has never heard of. “There’s a hole in this cake.” Toula’s mother can’t seem to find out how to say it correctly. “Boont? Bonk?” She eventually decides to simply place flowers in the center of the hole and leave it at that. So, needless to say, every time I get out the bundt pan to create this 7Up Cake, I can’t help but laugh.

This 7UP pound cake recipe was given to me by my grandma. This 7UP cake embodies family heritage, connection, and love, in addition to being delicious. A classic, old-fashioned, quick and easy 7-up cake recipe using a cake mix, created with simple ingredients, and topped with a lemon glaze. Soft and moist, it can be baked as a bundt or pound cake.

This is my personal favorite recipe. When I was a kid, my grandma and mother used to cook this for me. It’s really fantastic! In the glaze, you can use 7Up® instead of milk.
