1 Ingredient 1 pound creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup softened butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups granulated sugar
12 ounce chocolate chip bag
2 tbsp. vegetable shortening

Instructions
Set aside a baking sheet lined with waxed paper.
In a large mixing basin, combine the peanut butter, butter, and vanilla extract.
Add one cup of powdered sugar to the creamy mixture gradually, mixing well after each addition. *Please keep in mind that I do not sift my powdered sugar! I simply scoop out 1 cup and drop it into my dish.
By the third cup of powdered sugar, the mixture will be quite tough to stir with a spoon. Remove your rings and begin mixing with your hands.
You can begin creating your balls once all of the powdered sugar has been added into the peanut butter mixture. Pinch a small quantity and roll it between your hands to make a small ball. Place the peanut butter balls on a cookie sheet lined with waxed paper.
Melt your chocolate after you’ve completed all of your balls. My preferred method is to use a double boiler, but if you don’t have one, simply place a metal or glass bowl on top of a pot with about an inch of water in it. As the water in the saucepan heats up, the steam in your bowl will heat up and begin to melt your chocolate. Make sure to add the shortening to your chocolate; this will make it much easier to cover your peanut butter balls in chocolate.
Drop your peanut butter balls into the melted chocolate one at a time. With a fork, lift the ball out of the chocolate and place it on waxed paper.
Place the cookie sheet in the fridge for 15-30 minutes after coating all of the peanut butter balls. This ensures that the chocolate covering has completely solidified.
