REVIEW My grandmother made the greatest fudge I’d ever tasted. I made it, and it was much softer than hers had ever been. I eventually looked at her instructions, and she said to combine sugar, milk, butter, salt, and marshmallows in a skillet and simmer for 5 minutes (stirring frequently). She took the pan off the heat and put the

1 and a half cups white sugar
1 tablespoon unsalted butter 2/3 cup evaporated milk
1 teaspoon of salt
1 (6-ounce) carton milk chocolate pieces
16 medium marshmallows
1 teaspoon vanilla essence, pure
1 cup nuts, chopped

In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, milk, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil and continue to cook for 5 minutes, stirring regularly.
Cook until the chocolate chips are melted.
Remove from the heat and mix in the marshmallows, vanilla extract, and nuts. Combine thoroughly.
Pour into an 8-inch baking dish.
Once cool, cut into squares.
