Ingredients
1 tablespoon unsalted butter 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour 1 cup (245 g) room temperature whole milk
14 teaspoon kosher salt 14 teaspoon black pepper 14 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 cup (113 g) shredded white cheddar cheese 14 cup (25 g) grated parmesan cheese
Butter 14 cup (112 stick / 57 g) unsalted butter, melted 12 teaspoon garlic salt 12 teaspoon finely chopped fresh parsley 12 teaspoon kosher salt
1 package (12 count) sliders 1 pound turkey breast, leftover or thickly sliced deli turkey 2 medium tomatoes, cut 8-10 pieces cooked and crumbled bacon
Instructions
Sauce with Cheddar
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook until smooth and golden brown (1-2 minutes), whisking constantly.
Slowly add in the milk while whisking constantly.
Season with salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Cook for another 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
Remove from the heat and stir in the cheeses. Whisk until completely melted. Place aside.
Served with a dollop of butter
In a small mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, garlic salt, parsley, and salt. Place aside.
Sliders
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Coat a 711-inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
Place the bottom halves of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.
Add turkey, tomato slices, cheese sauce, and crumbled bacon to the buns.
Top with the bun tops and brush with the melted butter mixture.
Bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and bubbling, covered with aluminum foil.
Remove the foil and bake for 5 minutes more, or until the tops of the sliders are golden brown.
Remove from the oven, cut into slices, and serve.
