What ingredients are required to prepare Texas Hash?

        2 tablespoons olive oil

        1 diced onion

        1 diced bell pepper

        1 pound lean ground beef

        1 teaspoon minced garlic

2 12 teaspoon Chili Powder

        12 teaspoon dried mustard

        1 teaspoon salt

        12 teaspoon ground black pepper

        12 cup long grain rice, uncooked

2 tablespoons tomato paste

        14.5 oz. canned diced tomatoes with juice

        1 cup of water

        12 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

        Shredded Cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese (optional)

What is Texas Hash?

VERY FIRST STEP:

Heat Olive Oil in a skillet over medium high heat.

Combine the onions, peppers, garlic, ground beef, dry mustard, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.Cook until the steak is browned and well cooked.

The vegetables should also be tender.

THE SECOND STEP:

Cook for 20 minutes with the lid on.

After 20 minutes, remove the lid and fluff with a fork.
