Snicker’s Monkey Bread

Monkey bread is always a crowd-pleaser, but have you ever tried a chocolatey peanut butter version? Snicker’s Monkey Bread takes this beloved pull-apart dessert to a whole new level of deliciousness. It’s the perfect treat for any occasion – whether you’re celebrating the holidays, hosting a gathering with friends, or contributing to a bake sale. Once you try it, you’ll understand why I warn you: Monkey Bread is addicting!

A Fun and Decadent Finger Food

I absolutely love finger food, especially when it involves a small activity while indulging in a decadent dessert. Snicker’s Monkey Bread is exactly that. Store-bought biscuits are stuffed with pieces of Snicker’s candy bars, baked to perfection, and then glazed with a sweet and salty peanut butter glaze. Each bite is a delightful combination of chocolate, peanut butter, and soft, warm bread. Trust me, it’s a taste sensation you never knew you needed in your life.

The Magic of Monkey Bread

Monkey bread gets its name from the fun and interactive way it’s eaten – by pulling apart small, delicious pieces. When you bake individual pieces of dough close together, they puff up and create soft, warm pockets of bread. These pockets then absorb whatever flavors you coat them in. In the case of Snicker’s Monkey Bread, you can dip them in butter and toss them in cinnamon sugar, or go for the ultimate treat by stuffing them with chocolate and glazing them with a brown sugar mixture.

The Mouthwatering Peanut Butter Glaze

One thing I learned from making monkey bread is that adding a glaze takes it to another level of deliciousness. In this recipe, the peanut butter glaze is the star of the show. It’s creamy, sweet, and pairs perfectly with the chocolate and peanut butter flavors. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you for this addition.

Make it Your Way

Are you planning to make Snicker’s Monkey Bread for a special occasion like a birthday party? Simply cut the biscuits into smaller pieces. If you’re feeding a lot of people, cut them into quarters. For a smaller gathering, thirds are perfect and require less work. Alternatively, you can get creative and bake the monkey bread in cupcake form. These individual monkey bread cupcakes are not only delicious but also super cute. Just make sure to serve them warm to fully enjoy the gooey caramel that forms around each piece.

The Recipe

Serves: 6-8
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 25 minutes

Ingredients:

For the Monkey Bread:

  • 2 cans Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits, cut into thirds
  • 6 full-size Snickers bars, cut into 8 pieces each
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

For the Peanut Butter Glaze:

  • 1 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • Pinch of salt

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a Bundt pan.
  2. Take each piece of Snickers and wrap one piece of biscuit dough around it. Roll the dough into a ball and set it aside. Repeat with each biscuit.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the brown sugar and melted butter until well combined.
  4. Gently toss all the monkey bread pieces in the melted butter mixture, ensuring they are well coated. Place half of the pieces into the greased Bundt pan and top them with half of the mini chocolate chips. Repeat the process with the remaining pieces and chocolate chips.
  5. Bake for 20-30 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.
  6. In the meantime, mix all the ingredients for the peanut butter glaze in a separate bowl until it becomes smooth and light in color.
  7. Remove the monkey bread from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes. Then, drizzle the peanut butter glaze over the top.
  8. It’s time to enjoy your homemade Snicker’s Monkey Bread!
