Today, all I wanted was something warm, delicate, and comforting right from the oven. I don’t bake very frequently, but when I do, wonderful things happen, like this imitation Texas Roadhouse Rolls recipe. All I can say is that they are some of the greatest rolls I’ve ever had. These rolls are incredibly delicious when slathered with honey cinnamon butter.

Rolls from the Texas Roadhouse

INGREDIENTS
2 teaspoons active dry yeast
1 cup warm milk 1/4 cup warm water
1 1/2 tablespoons melted butter
1/4 cup plus 1 teaspoon sugar
3 to 4 cups all-purpose flour
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt

DIRECTIONS
I made this with the dough option on my bread machine.
Allow water, yeast, and 1 teaspoon sugar to sit for 7 minutes or until frothy. Warm milk, melted butter, 1 beaten egg, sugar, salt, and flour are all added. I ended up using 3 1/2 cups of flour. Remove the dough from the oven and knead it a few more times on a floured surface. Pinch off gold ball-sized pieces and flatten slightly before placing on an oiled cookie sheet. Allow it rise for another hour before baking at 350°F for 20 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
