Bringing back memories of Christmas as a kid, when the kitchen was filled with the warmth and aroma of sweet treats, is always special. One recipe that stood out on those cookie trays was the ever-popular Crockpot Turtles. And now, I’m excited to share the recipe with you!

The best part about these Easy Crockpot Turtles is that the crockpot does all the work for you. Simply add the almond bark and chocolate chips to the crockpot, let them melt into gooey deliciousness on low heat, and then mix in some pecans (or your favorite nuts). It’s that simple!

Next, line some muffin trays with paper cups and place a luscious caramel square or a rolo candy in the center of each cup. Pour the melted chocolate-nut mixture over the caramel until it’s fully covered. Now comes the hard part – waiting for them to set. You can speed this up by placing the trays in the fridge. Once they are nice and firm, remove the paper and take a bite. Trust me, your family will love these holiday treats!

Ingredients:

  • 20 oz almond bark
  • 1 (12 oz) bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 6 oz milk chocolate chips
  • 1 bag Kraft caramels (the wrapped cube kind)
  • 4 cups pecans

Preparation:

  1. Break the almond bark into pieces and add it, along with both kinds of chocolate chips, to the crockpot. Cook on low heat for about 1 hour, or until melted.
  2. Mix in the pecans, ensuring they’re well-coated with the melted chocolate mixture, and cook for an additional 15 minutes.
  3. Line two muffin tins with paper liners and place an unwrapped caramel or rolo candy in the center of each liner.
  4. Use a cookie or ice cream scoop to spoon about ¼ cup of the melted chocolate-pecan mixture over each caramel.
  5. Allow the turtles to cool until they are solid. You can speed up the process by placing them in the fridge.
  6. Once set, store the turtles in an airtight container in a cool place.
