Australian natural foods influencer Stacey Warnecke was happily married and excited to become a mom, but tragically, she suffered from a medical emergency shortly after giving birth to her first born son. Her husband, Nathan, broke the sad news on his wife’s Instagram page.
Alongside a series of photos, Nathan wrote a lengthy caption that both explains the circumstances surrounding her death and how much he is going to miss her. He wrote, “Stace passed on the 29th September 2025 after successfully giving birth to our firstborn son, Axel, at home. Tragically, shortly after, an unforeseen and extremely rare complication arose and she passed after being transferred to hospital. Hospital staff were amazing and did the utmost to help, but ultimately nothing could be done despite their best efforts.”

Then he explained how much Stacey meant to him, and how much he misses her. He wrote, “I knew Stace for 9 amazing years, she was the light of my life and the reason i got up in the morning. Words can’t do justice to how devastating this is for myself and everyone that knew and loved her. She was my lighthouse in the storm and the world is less bright without her in it.”
He continued, “As her husband, i couldn’t ask for a better partner. She was the most beautiful, loving, caring, hardworking, disciplined, intelligent and trustworthy human being i’ve ever known. She made me the man i am today and everything i have in life is all thanks to her. The happiest day of my life was getting to marry her, my best friend, on a white sand beach in the Maldives.”
He finished the post by describing his late wife as “one that loved above all else to live a simple, stress free life. She was most at home in nature, surrounded by trees and sand at her feet. She lived her whole life with an appreciation for everything she had and cared not for materialistic possessions.”
Now, Nathan is not only grieving his wife’s death but also jumping into fatherhood as a single dad to his son Axle.
On behalf of Nathan and Axle, Axle’s uncle started a GoFundMe to raise money to help them navigate this next chapter. He explained, “I want to honour my beautiful friend Stacey and support her family in the way she always supported those she loved.”
He explained, “Stacey once told me how excited she was to see Nathan become a dad. She knew he would be gentle, devoted, and full of love. And she was right. Seeing Nathan step into fatherhood and witnessing firsthand the bond he shares with Axel is pure magic.”
He added, “Stacey and Nathan lived a quiet, love-filled life. They never would have asked for help. So I’m asking on their behalf.” He continued, “There’s so much on his plate right now, and if you’re able to support him through this GoFundMe…created by his uncle…it would mean the world.”
