Do you remember those classic dishes from your childhood that always filled your home with mouthwatering aromas? For me, one of those dishes was hamburger steak with onion gravy. The combination of savory onions and beefy gravy was unbeatable, and it was always a highlight of my day.

The best part about this recipe is that it’s incredibly easy to make. In fact, you probably have all the ingredients on hand already! It’s a great way to dress up a pound of ground beef and create a delicious and satisfying meal.

Traditionally, hamburger steaks are served with hot white rice or creamy mashed potatoes. The creamy texture of the potatoes or the fluffiness of the rice pairs perfectly with the rich brown gravy. And to add a touch of freshness to the dish, I love serving it with sweet peas that perfectly complement the savoriness of the steak.

Now, it’s important not to confuse hamburger steak with Salisbury steak. While they both feature ground beef, hamburger steak doesn’t use egg or breadcrumbs like Salisbury steak does. However, both are equally delicious in their own right.

Don’t forget to share the recipe with your Facebook friends who are sure to appreciate this classic favorite!
