Allow the oven to rest! Make these 8-ingredient chocolate peanut butter no-bake cookies. This family favorite recipe is extremely easy to make.

Today I’m reintroducing an older family dish. These peanut butter chocolate no-bake cookies are my most popular cookie recipe on my website.

Why is this my go-to recipe?
There is no mixer and no oven.
Only minor cleanup is required.
There are only eight basic ingredients—nothing unusual.
Chocolate combined with peanut butter
Surprisingly simple
If necessary, dairy and egg free.

I married into a food-obsessed family. My husband grew up with his siblings creating zucchini bread, soft pretzels, and these no-bake cookies. He claimed that he had made these no-bakes so many times as a child that he could mix them together in his sleep. Partly because they’re so simple, but also because everyone craves chocolate and peanut butter before night, right?

Simply simply, these cookies are fantastic. They’re as traditional as chocolate chip cookies, sugar cookies, or rice krispie snacks. And after just one bite, you’ll understand why everyone is so excited. Let’s get started!

There are a billion and a half no-bake recipes on the internet, and the majority of them use the same ingredients as our family recipe. The ratio of ingredients, however, is what distinguishes each recipe. More butter, less sugar, more cocoa, less peanut butter, etc. In my opinion and taste, our recipe achieves the ideal ratio. There is just the right amount of sugar, cocoa, and peanut butter.
