Ingredients:

1 cup (2 sticks) softened unsalted butter
4 oz. softened cream cheese
1 granulated sugar cup
1 big egg
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 3/4 cups regular flour
a half teaspoon baking powder
a quarter teaspoon of salt
(Optional) colored sugar or sprinkles for decoration
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
Cream Cheese and Cream Butter: Cream together the softened butter, softened cream cheese, and granulated sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla essence until thoroughly mixed.
Dry Ingredients: Whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a separate basin.
Combine the following dry and wet ingredients: Gradually combine the dry and wet ingredients, mixing until a smooth cookie dough emerges.
Wrap the cookie dough in plastic wrap and place it in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill. This will make it easier to deal with.
Roll the cold dough into 1-inch balls and set them on the baking sheets, leaving some space between each.
Decorate (Optional): If desired, flatten the cookies slightly with the bottom of a glass and top with colorful sugar or sprinkles.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden in a preheated oven.
Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheets before moving them to wire racks to cool fully.
Cream Cheese Cookies are ready to serve once they have cooled.
These cookies have a delectable cream cheese flavor and a soft texture, making them ideal for any occasion. Decorate them whatever you choose, or leave them plain for a simple, delicious treat. Enjoy!
