The apple is the queen of autumn meals, and it can do marvels. If you like anything cooked with apples, this cinnamon-apple-crescent roll fantasy is for you.

I prepared it for the first time, and it was delicious. The aroma of cinnamon and apples distinguishes this simple treat, which melts in your mouth due to being soaked in apple juice.

I think a mixture of pears or peaches would be delicious, and if everything is topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, mmmmm… Amazing work!

Ingredients:

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 each)
2 pound of butter
1 pound brown sugar
a tsp vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon, or as desired
1 can (12oz) Mountain Dew (or 7 Up)
2 big peeled and cored Granny Smith apples
Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Wash, peel, and cut the apples into eight equal slices.
Unwrap the crescent roll and cut the triangles apart.
Place an apple slice on each triangle of dough (on the wider side) and roll it up like a croissant.
Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking dish with butter.
In a second bowl, combine the butter, cinnamon, sugar, and vanilla, and whisk until smooth. Pour over the rolls.
Pour soda (7up or Mountain Dew) evenly between rolls and bake for 35-45 minutes, or until golden brown.
Immediately serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
