My husband and I both love this slow-cooked chuck roast dish. You’ll also enjoy how flavorful and tender this hearty beef chuck roast is.

Preparation time: 20 minutes. 5 hours to cook This recipe yields 6 servings.

1 can (14-1/2 ounces) of Undrained Italian stewed tomatoes
1 boneless beef chuck roast (about 2 to 3 pounds)
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 chopped celery rib
half a cup beef broth
ketchup, 1/2 cup
1 medium halved and sliced green pepper
4 tsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp cornstarch 3 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup ice water
three tbsp brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 large onion, cut and halved

1 can (14-1/2 ounces) of Undrained Italian stewed tomatoes
1 boneless beef chuck roast (about 2 to 3 pounds)
2 teaspoons black pepper
2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 chopped celery rib
half a cup beef broth
ketchup, 1/2 cup
1 medium halved and sliced green pepper
4 tsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp cornstarch 3 minced garlic cloves
1/4 cup ice water
three tbsp brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed
1 teaspoon of soy sauce
1 large onion, cut and halved

To begin, combine the first ten ingredients. Combine the onion, green pepper, and celery in a 5-quart slow cooker; lay the roast on top. Distribute the tomato sauce over the roast. Cook, covered, on low for 5-6 hours, or until the meat is tender.
Take the roast out of the pan. While the vegetables are being reserved, drain the cooking liquids. Transfer the fat from the juices to a small saucepan. Stir cornstarch and water together until smooth, then add to the cooking liquids. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat and continue to cook and stir for 1-2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened. Serve the roast and veggies with gravy.

Chuck roast is made from the shoulder section of the steer, as well as bits of the neck, ribs, and upper arm. It is a cheap cut of meat that originates from a huge part of the animal.

  1. How should chuck roast be tenderized?

The “raisining” procedure should be used to tenderize chuck roast. In a few simple steps, the chuck roast will be ready to use in a number of recipes.

To begin, chop the chuck into cubes. Then, throw in the coarse sea salt and pepper to coat. Finally, place the seasoned meat on a large piece of waxed or parchment paper and roll it into a 1 inch thick log.
