Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425ºF (220ºC).
  2. Cut 2 sheets of 14 by 12-inch (35 x 30 cm) heavy-duty aluminum foil and place each piece separately on the countertop.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the vegetable or chicken broth, fresh lemon juice, and your favorite hot sauce to create the garlic butter sauce.
  4. Season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and pepper, then place them onto the aluminum foil near the center. Add the trimmed asparagus to one side of the salmon, following the long direction of the foil.
  5. Adjust the seasoning of the salmon fillets with more salt and pepper, and sprinkle minced garlic on top.
  6. Drizzle the garlic butter sauce generously over the salmon fillets and asparagus.
  7. Divide butter pieces evenly among the foil packets, layering them over the salmon fillet and asparagus.
