Ingredients:

1 can (15.25 oz.) whole kernel corn
1 can (14.75 oz) cream-flavored corn
1 quart sour cream
1 stick (1/2 cup) melted unsalted butter
1 cup cornbread batter
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped green onions
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius) and grease a 913-inch baking dish.
Combine the whole kernel corn, cream-style corn, sour cream, and melted butter in a large mixing basin. Combine thoroughly.
To the bowl, add the cornmeal mix and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir in all of the ingredients until well blended.
Fold in the chopped green onions if desired. These give the casserole a lovely flavor and color.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Because canned corn and cheese can be salty, use caution when adding salt.
Spread the ingredients out evenly in the prepared baking dish.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown, in a preheated oven.
Remove from the oven and set aside for a few minutes to cool before serving.
