Chicken and Mushrooms in a Garlic White Wine Sauce

I made this delicious dish for dinner and served it with a refreshing Greek salad. Let me tell you, the flavor was absolutely amazing, and the salad turned out excellent as well. It was truly a delightful meal!

Even if you’re not a big fan of mushrooms, like me, you will be pleasantly surprised by how good they taste in this recipe. I couldn’t believe it myself, but trust me, this dish is worth every bite. I would even pay for a plate of this goodness!

The best part is, I now have some leftovers that I’m really looking forward to enjoying for lunch. It’s great when a meal can bring so much joy even after it’s been served once.

What You Need

  • 8 pieces of chicken
  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ¼ cup flour
  • 3 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 12oz mushrooms, sliced
  • ¼ cup white wine
  • â…“ cup chicken broth
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Parsley, for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Heat 1 teaspoon butter and 1 teaspoon olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Lightly flour the chicken and brown it in the skillet.

Step 2: Remove the chicken and set it aside. Add the last teaspoon of butter and olive oil to the same skillet.

Step 3: Saute the garlic, mushrooms, and salt & pepper for about 3 minutes.

Step 4: Stir in the white wine and chicken broth, simmering until the sauce reduces by half.

Step 5: Return the chicken to the skillet and cook for a few more minutes until everything is heated through.

Step 6: Serve the chicken and mushrooms in the garlic white wine sauce, garnished with parsley. Enjoy!
