No-Bake Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Balls recipe: chocolate-covered peanut butter balls get a crispy upgrade for the best Christmas dessert! They are the perfect bite-size treat for the holidays!

It’s hard to believe it’s Christmas baking season already, but here we are. I tend to make the same things every single year and I’m more than OK with that. Christmas is all about traditions for me! These no-bake peanut butter rice krispie balls are definitely being added to that list of traditions, along with my Italian Ricotta Cookies.

I remember the one year I tried to get away without making the Christmas cut-out sugar cookies and Mr. Wishes just about got up and left me for good. Ha ha! I mean, in my defense, those are very time-consuming cookies to make with the rolling, chilling, cutting out, decorating, etc.

These chocolate-covered peanut butter rice krispie balls are the answer to my lack of time and desire to bake complicated treats during the busy holiday season. They are ridiculously easy to make and require no oven time at all. Plus, they have the magical combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Who can resist that?

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the peanut butter, powdered sugar, and softened butter.
  2. Stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until well combined.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a lined baking sheet.
  4. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval until smooth.
  5. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate, coating it completely. Place the coated balls back on the lined baking sheet.
  6. Refrigerate for about 1 hour until the chocolate is set. Enjoy!

These no-bake peanut butter rice krispie balls are the perfect treat to share with family and friends during the holiday season. They are festive, delicious, and require minimal effort. The combination of peanut butter and chocolate is always a crowd-pleaser, and the crispy texture of the Rice Krispies adds an extra element of enjoyment.

So, this Christmas, why not add these chocolate-covered peanut butter rice krispie balls to your list of baking traditions? They are sure to become a favorite among your loved ones and create lasting memories. Whether you’re enjoying them at a holiday gathering or gifting them to others, these bite-size treats will bring joy and delight to all.
