A Simple and Easy Recipe

Here’s a simple and delightful recipe for mushroom sauce chicken breast that is perfect for those who enjoy mild and creamy flavors.

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1 finely chopped onion
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 250g of sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of chicken broth
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon of dried thyme (optional)
  • Freshly chopped parsley for garnish

Preparation:

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the chicken breasts until golden brown on both sides and cooked through in the center. Remove the chicken breasts from the skillet and set them aside on a plate. Cover to keep them warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until tender and fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until golden brown and they have released their liquid.
  4. Pour the chicken broth into the skillet and scrape the browned bits from the bottom (this will add flavor). Let the mixture come to a boil and reduce the heat to medium.
  5. Pour in the heavy cream and add the dried thyme (if using). Cook over low heat for a few minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Place the chicken breasts back into the skillet to warm them in the sauce for a few minutes.
  7. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley on top before serving.
