Slow Cooker Dr. Pepper BBQ Ribs are Country Style Beef Ribs that have been slow simmered in Dr. Pepper before being baked to caramelize the Dr. Pepper BBQ sauce. There are only three ingredients!

I consider myself to be a fair-weather winter person. Growing up in the Midwest, it doesn’t feel right not to have snow on the ground at Christmas, but by mid-January, I’m sick of the gray sky, cold, and white stuff that has now turned a not-so-pretty white.

I yearn for long summer days filled with sunshine, patio relaxing, and GRILLING.

INGREDIENTS
4.5 pounds boneless pork ribs, country style
2 Dr. Pepper cans, divided 3/4 cup BBQ sauce (your choice, we like Sweet Baby Ray’s!)
INSTRUCTIONS
Pour 1 can of soda over the ribs in the bottom of your slow cooker. Cook for 7 hours on low or 4 hours on high, covered.

Preheat the oven to 400°F. Wrap a cookie sheet in foil and lay a wire rack on top.

Combine 3/4 cup BBQ sauce and 1/2 cup Dr. Pepper soda in a mixing bowl.

Remove the ribs from the slow cooker and place them on a rack. Tops should be brushed with sauce. Bake for 15 minutes before flipping and brushing the other side. Bake for another 15 minutes.

Serve any leftover sauce at the table.
