Penuche Fudge combines the flavors of butterscotch and maple. With its delicious buttery flavor, the fudge practically melts in your lips.

Ingredients: 2 cups light brown sugar, 3 cups sifted confectioners sugar, 1 cup pecans or walnuts
2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter 5 ounces Milk that has been evaporated
14 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon Vanilla Extract
Spray with nonstick cooking spray

FIRST, coat a 9-inch loaf pan with nonstick spray.

Line another loaf pan with parchment paper.

Melt the butter and brown sugar in a heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat.

Heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the butter and brown sugar have melted.

Bring the evaporated milk to a boil.

When the mixture reaches a boil, remove it from the heat and set aside to cool for 30 minutes.

SECOND STEP: After 30 minutes, add the salt and vanilla extract.

Stir until thoroughly combined.

Add the confectioners’ sugar gradually.

Mix in the chopped nuts.

STEP 3: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared loaf pan.

Refrigerate the loaf pan, uncovered, for 20 to 25 minutes.

When the fudge has hardened, cut it into squares and serve.
