Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers

This is a fantastic recipe that everyone in my house absolutely loved! These Philly Cheesesteak Stuffed Peppers are not only delicious, but also incredibly easy to make. I can’t wait to serve them again, especially since my husband is a big fan!

Servings: 4 Time: Preparation: 5 minutes Cooking: 20 minutes Total: 25 minutes

What You’ll Need:

  • Olive oil
  • 4 green bell peppers
  • 1 8oz sirloin steak, thin cut
  • 1 ½ cups mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 red onion, sliced
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese shreds
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions:

FIRST STEP:

  • Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.
  • Drizzle some olive oil over the steak and season it with sea salt flakes and crushed black pepper.

SECOND STEP:

  • Place the steak on a lined baking sheet and bake it for 20 minutes. Once done, slice it into thin strips and set it aside.
  • Cut the green bell peppers in half and remove the seeds. Place them face up in a 13×9 baking dish.

THIRD STEP:

  • Drizzle some olive oil over the pepper halves and season them with salt and pepper. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 10-15 minutes.

FOURTH STEP:

  • In a skillet over medium high heat, cook the mushrooms, red bell pepper, and onion in olive oil until they become soft. Then, stir in the steak strips.

  • Fill the green pepper halves with the meat and veggie mixture.

  • Top the stuffed peppers with mozzarella cheese and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
