What’s the Difference Between Air Fryer and Oven Meatloaf?
The main difference between preparing meatloaf in the air fryer and in the oven is the amount of time required. Depending on the size of the loaf, an oven-baked meatloaf takes 45-90 minutes. Air-fried meatloaf takes between 25 and 50 minutes, or roughly half the time.

Because the air circulates uniformly around the meatloaf, air fryer meatloaves have a browned, “crispier” top than oven meatloaves. It is critical to use a glaze to decrease this.

Because air fryers are smaller than ovens, you should only make a little loaf, about 1 or 1.5 pounds. This is perfect for tiny families, couples, and individuals who prefer not to have leftovers.

INGREDIENTS
1 pound ground beef
1 pound breadcrumbs
12 cup chopped onion 1 big egg
12 packet ranch seasoning
14 teaspoon salt 18 teaspoon pepper 12 cup barbecue sauce
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
Combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, onion, ranch seasoning, salt, pepper, 12 cup cheddar cheese, and 14 cup barbecue sauce in a large mixing bowl.
Brush or spray olive oil into the air fryer basket. Shape the meatloaf mixture into a loaf in the basket. Set the oven to 370°F and the timer for 20 minutes.
Brush with the remaining barbecue sauce and top with the remaining cheddar cheese after 20 minutes. Set the timer for 5 minutes more. When done, the cheese should be melted and starting to brown, and the internal temperature should be 165 degrees F. Cook in 2-minute increments until temperature is reached if necessary.A 2 pound meatloaf will take 40-45 minutes to cook.
Allow for a 5-10 minute break before removing.
