Nothing beats the comfort of traditional pancakes for breakfast: light, airy, golden, and timeless. What’s more, the best part? They’re really simple to make with items you probably already have on hand.

Serve with eggs, crispy bacon, and flavorful sausage, or serve on their own with a touch of butter and a sprinkle of syrup. Feeling a little frivolous? Add fresh berries and a dollop of vanilla-infused whipped cream on top. For the complete breakfast experience, wash it all down with a cool glass of orange juice or a hot cup of coffee.
If you happen to have leftovers, repurpose them into pancakes the next day. We wouldn’t be surprised if every last bite vanished in an instant.

*Ingredients:

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

° 3 1/2 tsp baking powder

1 teaspoon of salt

° 1 tbsp. white sugar

3 teaspoons melted butter

° 1 egg

° 1 tablespoon milk

° Cooking spray for splattering

*Steps:

Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a mixing dish.

In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter, egg, and milk until smooth. Allow this mixture to stand for 5 minutes.

Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat and spray lightly with cooking spray.

For each pancake, pour roughly 1/4 cup batter onto a heated skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until surface bubbles develop and the edges appear firm. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, or until golden brown on the other side.
