1 pound sirloin steak, cut into strips, superfluous fat trimmed °salt pepper °1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
°14 cup dry red wine + stain to remove shine °2 1/2 cups fat-free beef broth °2 teaspoons cornstarch + 12 cup cold water, combined

*Making Instructions:

In a 4.5-quart saucepan, combine the onions and mushrooms.
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the oil. Season the steaks liberally with salt and pepper and place on a hot skillet, basting the meat on all sides for about 3 minutes; do not overcook.

Place the meat on top of the vegetables in the slow cooker.
Scrape the bottom of the heated skillet with a few tablespoons of red wine to remove the browned chunks of meat. Combine them in the slow cooker.

Season the beef once more with pepper, then add the Worcestershire sauce, red wine, and gravy. Simmer for 6 to 8 hours, covered.
Remove the top and gradually whisk in the cornstarch and water mixture. Cook for another 45 minutes on high heat, covered.

Serve the beef chops with brown rice, buttered egg noodles, or mashed potatoes, as shown.
