Looking for a nutritious evening dinner? So, keep looking. While this Bacon Cream Cheese Baked Spaghetti is simple enough for a hectic weekday, it is not health food. No, this is unabashed creamy-cheesiness in a creamy-cheesy comfort dish. (There’s also bacon!) It’s simple, rich, and absolutely delicious.

While many casseroles use cream of mushroom soup as a shortcut, this one uses cream of bacon soup, and it makes me think that cream of bacon soup should have been the go-to casserole shortcut option all along. Simply combine that with some milk, cream cheese, onion and garlic powder, and heat to a simmer before dropping the spaghetti right into the liquid. The spaghetti cooks in what will become the sauce, saving you time and ensuring that the pasta is tasty.

INGREDIENTS
4 quarts milk
1 can condensed cream of bacon soup (10.5 oz)
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 pound dry spaghetti
3 1/2 cups grated and divided mozzarella cheese
1 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
Snipped fresh chives for garnish (optional)
To taste, kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
PREPARATION
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
Combine the milk, bacon soup, cream cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder in a large mixing bowl. Bring the water to a boil.
When the spaghetti is half-cooked, break it in half and stir it into the soup. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 8 minutes, stirring periodically.
Mix in 2 cups of mozzarella and half of the bacon. Season with salt and pepper to taste and transfer to a 913-inch baking dish.
Top with the remaining mozzarella and bacon and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and begun to turn golden brown.
Allow to settle for 5 minutes before serving. If using, garnish with fresh chives. Enjoy!
