Pecan Tarts: How to Make Them
The tart shells will be made first while creating these pecan tarts. After mixing up the crust ingredients, push the dough into the muffin tins. Make the filling after you’ve created the crusts. Fill the crusts with the filling and bake the pecan tarts.

Ingredients
Tarts with Pecans
INGREDIENTS:
1 pkg. 3 oz. softened cream cheese
1 pound softened margarine or butter
1 cup of flour
a pinch of salt
Filling:
2 beaten eggs
1 cup of brown sugar
2 tablespoons melted margarine or butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
a pinch of salt
1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
Let’s get started with the crust! Simply combine the cream cheese, margarine, flour, and salt in a mixing bowl. Scoop a ball of dough into 12 muffin pans using a cookie scoop. With your fingertips, press each dough equally on the bottom and up the sides. Fill up any holes you may have made with extra dough.
Combine the eggs, brown sugar, margarine, vanilla, and salt to make the filling. Mix well (do not use a mixer otherwise the tops will be crusty instead of nutty). Fill pastry shells evenly with pecans. Fill shells 2/3 full with filling.
Bake at 350°F for 20-25 minutes. Allow to cool somewhat before removing from the pans. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
